How many interviews do you offer?
Tacoma Family Medicine will interview approximately 130 applicants for its eight available first-year positions.
When does Tacoma Family Medicine offer interviews?
Due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic, TFM will continue to offer virtual interviews during the 2023-2024 interview season.
We will offer interviews every Tuesday from October 17th through December 26th. We may decide to offer additional dates.
This year (2023) we are offering 4 on site visits for the following dates: Thursday November 2nd, Thursday November 16th, Thursday November 30th & Thursday December 14th. Please note, attendance at one of these events will in no way impact your ranking with the program. Additional details to come!
As the season progresses and available interview appointments become filled, it is not always possible to accommodate requests for a specific interview date. It is therefore to your advantage to complete your ERAS application in a timely manner and submit it as early as possible. Our faculty will strive to review qualified applications at the earliest possible opportunity, and our residency coordinator will contact you as soon as a decision regarding a personal interview has been made.
Are there any social activities planned around the interview day?
An informal group virtual meeting will be hosted on each Tuesday evening at 6:15 PM PST on the day of the interview. Tune in and meet our residents in this relaxed environment to get to know one another and share information about the program from our current residentâs perspective. Details on the meeting will be sent to applicants with other interview day information.
What should I expect on interview day?
The interview day will begin with a one-hour question and answer session. This will be followed by One-on-one interviews with residents and faculty. We are posting virtual tours of our clinic and hospital on the website.
