Bringing health care to students!

Created as a partnership between Tacoma Public Schools and MultiCare, the MultiCare Mount Tahoma High School Clinic provides comprehensive health care services to all Tacoma Public Schools students. The clinic is led by Medical Director Cyd Marckmann, DNP, ARNP, FAANP, who provides clinical oversight and support for high-quality, patient-centered care.

The clinic is staffed by residents from both the East Pierce Family Medicine (EPFM) and Tacoma Family Medicine (TFM) programs. Faculty from both programs, along with the clinic Medical Director, provide preceptorship and supervision to ensure a strong educational environment and high-quality care.

  • The clinic provides comprehensive primary care services, including confidential reproductive healthcare and integrated behavioral health, with a strong focus on meeting patients where they are in their health journey.
  • All Tacoma Public Schools students are eligible to access care at the clinic, serving a diverse population of approximately 1,400 students across a wide range of ages and healthcare needs.
  • All recommended Washington State immunizations for school-aged children are offered to the students.
  • For those with an interest in sports medicine, there are also opportunities to participate in sports physicals and sideline coverage.
