Olympia region

Referrals can be placed in EPIC to MultiCare Capital General Surgery.
Providers without EPIC access can fax referrals to the clinic at 360- 596-4881.

Other ways to submit a referral:

We accept:

  • Adults age 16+

Work up preferred:

  • Hernia: If you can’t feel it/see it, order ultrasound
  • Hiatal Hernia: EGD, upper GI, manometry
  • Gallstone/Gallbladder: Right upper quadrant abdominal ultrasound; HIDA scan if ultrasound is negative
  • Breast Cancer: Mammogram, Ultrasound, Biopsy
  • Hemorrhoids/Fissures: No workup needed
  • Colon Cancer: Endoscopy and pathology
  • Skin Lesions: No workup needed, can biopsy in office

  • Please include last primary care note, latest set of labs, H&P, demographics and any diagnostic imaging related to the referral.

Please fax any relevant chart notes, labs/tests and imaging if not in Epic. Imaging required for gallbladders. Prior endoscopy and colonoscopy results should be submitted.

Both Good Samaritan Hospital and Tacoma General Hospital feature the da Vinci 5 and Xi for our experienced surgeons to use.  MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital has achieved accreditation from Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery
