MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Opens Pediatric Therapy Center in Central Tacoma

July 6, 2026

TACOMA, Wash. — MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network recently opened a new outpatient therapy facility set to help kids with disabilities maximize their potential (3307 S. 19th St. Tacoma, Wash.)

The new 16,000-square-foot facility expands access to specialty outpatient therapies for families across the Pacific Northwest. Services began on Tuesday, June 30th, and include comprehensive physical, occupational, speech and feeding therapies, as well as audiology and in-house orthotics and prosthetics.

“This comprehensive outpatient therapy center is a critical need for so many of our patients,” said Jeff Poltawsky, president and market leader, Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network. “Many of our patients rely on at least two forms of therapies, often requiring multiple weekly appointments. Our goal is to provide ease of access for all patient families, so their appointments can be consolidated under one roof and be as minimally disruptive to their lives as possible.”

The new Children’s Therapy Services location is designed to serve the unique needs of infants, children and adolescents, supporting everything from acute injury recovery plans to ongoing therapy for lifelong needs. Located in Central Tacoma, on the doorstep of the new Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and within three miles of more than 45 schools, the center brings specialized care closer to home for busy families.

“We’re proud to continue our partnership with Mary Bridge Children’s and MultiCare through the development of this important outpatient therapy center,” said Levi Nelson, Development Manager, Rush Development. “Their team was collaborative, mission-driven, and a pleasure to work alongside throughout the project. This facility plays a valuable role in expanding access to pediatric therapy services in Tacoma, and we’re excited to help bring these critical resources closer to the families who need them.”

Therapists welcomed their first patients less than one year after groundbreaking, after Rush completed construction ahead of schedule.

The facility was also made possible in part by the Mary Bridge Brigade, which contributed $4 million for therapy equipment, furnishings and interior completion.

Mary Bridge Children’s Therapy Services treats more than 16,500 pediatric patients annually at its existing outpatient therapy clinics in Puyallup, Gig Harbor, Olympia and Federal Way.
