The MultiCare Institute for Research & Innovation was awarded the 2017 certificate of achievement from one of the nation’s largest clinical research organizations for superior performance and quality in clinical research.

The awarding organization, IQVIA, is a leading global provider of information, innovative technology solutions and contract research services focused on using data and science to help health care clients find better solutions for their patients.

“This prestigious award symbolizes the hard work, dedication and exceptional clinical research skill and professionalism of the Research Institute’s research team,” says Anne Reedy, executive director of research at the Research Institute. “Congratulations to our investigators, study coordinators, research assistants and research operations team members on this impressive award.”

The Research Institute has maintained “preferred partner” status for IQVIA since 2014, based on capabilities and a track record of superior performance in clinical research. Preferred partners are required to perform better than all contracted research sites within the U.S. This award is only given to top-performing sites in IQVIA’s Prime and Partner program that have demonstrated excellence in clinical research performance and quality.

The MultiCare Institute for Research & Innovation was formed in 2010 and gathers research efforts across MultiCare into a single program. It conducts both clinical trials and outcomes-based research with MultiCare-employed physicians, as well as physicians practicing independently in the community. The Research Institute participates in research through a number of mechanisms including federal, industry and investigator-initiated studies. It also performs clinical studies in conjunction with the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

IQVIA was formed through the merger of IMS Health and Quintiles and offers a broad range of health care information, technology and analytics solutions.
