MultiCare names new leader of Tacoma General, Allenmore hospitals

MultiCare has named Sharon Oxendale, FACHE, as president and chief operating officer of MultiCare Tacoma General and Allenmore hospitals, effective July 9.
Oxendale has been serving as interim president and COO for Tacoma General and Allenmore since December 2017.
She brings more than 25 years of hospital and health system leadership experience, serving in COO and CEO roles in both for-profit and non-profit hospitals in Pennsylvania, Texas and Illinois. She has also served as a consultant for GE Medical Systems across the United States.

Oxendale is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and has served on numerous hospital and other non-profit community boards. She has also been an active participant in United Way and Chamber of Commerce Leadership Development Programs.
