One of the 72 nonprofit groups in the Puget Sound to receive support from MultiCare's Community Partnership Fund is Tacoma's Hilltop Artists, which helps expose youth from diverse backgrounds to the power and positive influence of art.

By MultiCare Health System

MultiCare Health System has named 72 local, not-for-profit organizations to receive a total of $500,000 in grants to support the growth and development of projects that improve our communities.

The organizations receiving awards are from Pierce, King, Kitsap and Thurston counties. They include Seattle/King County Clinic, Food Backpacks 4 Kids, Hilltop Artists, Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound, Safe Streets, Nourish Pierce County and the Auburn Respite Program, among others.

This is the fourth year of nonprofit organizations to receive funding from MultiCareā€™s Community Partnership Fund for the Puget Sound region, which was established in 2015. A separate community fund for the Inland Northwest was established in 2018 following MultiCareā€™s acquisition of Valley Hospital, Deaconess Hospital and Rockwood Clinic in Spokane.

The Community Partnership Fund focuses on building partnerships that contribute to the health and vitality of our community in areas such as health improvement, homeless services, education and food insecurity.

Community organizations ā€” not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) ā€” are eligible to apply for single-year grants from the $500,000 fund. A team of MultiCare and community leaders review requests once aĀ year.
