Watch: MultiCare Bridge to Brunch 5K celebrates physical health, community
After operating as a virtual event the past few years, the MultiCare Bridge to Brunch 5K walk/run was back in person this year to celebrate physical health and community in the Inland Northwest.
The 2022 Bridge to Brunch 5K came back strong with the biggest participant turnout to date since the event started in 2017. More than 500 runners, joggers and walkers of all ages joined in with friends, family, co-workers and four-legged companions to enjoy a beautiful fall day and delicious brunch after the race.
Together we raised more than $15,000, with all proceeds going to support behavioral health services and access in the Inland Northwest region through the MultiCare Inland Northwest Foundation. One in five people live with mental illness and substance use disorder, and those struggles have only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
To ensure we can meet the needs of our community, MultiCare is teaming up with partners like the Northeast Community Center — an integrated campus dedicated to providing barrier-free access to care and support — to increase behavioral health services in some of our region’s most in-need areas.
