Mary Bridge Children’s Health Network and Woodcreek Healthcare in Puyallup are pleased to announce they have signed a letter of intent to formalize their longtime relationship into an innovative new partnership intended to benefit the health care of children in the East Pierce region.

Woodcreek Healthcare’s primary focus is pediatric primary care, but it also provides integrated behavioral health, an asthma and allergy clinic, and two urgent cares. The partnership will bring three Woodcreek practices and 35 providers into the Mary Bridge and MultiCare network of providers later this year. This more than doubles the number of general pediatric providers within the network.

The partnership will create a hybrid model of employment and ownership: approximately 35 Woodcreek physicians and advanced practice providers will be employed by Mary Bridge. The practice itself along with clinical and administrative support staff will remain independent – owned and operated by the principals who built and grew it over the past 39 years.

“Providing the highest quality of pediatric care is a shared commitment by both organizations, placing children and families at the center of all we do. So, this is a natural fit and partnership,” says Steve Reville, M.D., physician executive for network development at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and Health Network. “We are thrilled to have Woodcreek providers and families join our dedicated pediatric team to continue advancing pediatric care in our communities well into the future.”
