At MultiCare Good Samaritan in Puyallup, we have a long tradition of helping people recover from traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries. Our Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program was developed in 1987, making it one of the first in the region.
Brain injuries can cause problems with attention, memory, communication, judgment and the ability to carry on daily living activities. They may also cause headaches, dizziness, fatigue, vision problems, trouble sleeping, irritability or changes in personality.
Though a brain injury can’t be cured, rehabilitation can help people recover lost function and regain independence.
We use a comprehensive, team approach to treating brain injury. Together with each client and his or her family, our team works to design a rehabilitation program that addresses the person’s individual needs and goals.
We also offer inpatient services for people who require a high level of care after a brain injury.
