We offer a full spectrum of classes, events and programs designed to help you prepare for a new addition to the family and feel confident in delivering and caring for your newborn. Our learning opportunities span online, in-person, or virtual group options — depending on how you best learn and what’s most convenient for you.

Puget Sound classes
- One-day Childbirth Preparation: Covers childbirth preparation topics and postpartum information.
- Two-day Childbirth Preparation: Covers childbirth preparation topics, postpartum information, breastfeeding and newborn care.
- Four-week Childbirth Preparation: Covers childbirth preparation topics, postpartum information, breastfeeding and newborn care.
- Breastfeeding Support Group: This group meets weekly and is led by an international board-certified lactation consultant.
- Bundled online classes: Prepare for childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care. Take one class or register for all three and receive a discount.
- Childbirth Preparation for Multiple Pregnancy: Self-paced online course for those expecting two or more babies that covers pregnancy, labor, birth, cesarean birth, NICU, breastfeeding multiples and adjusting to life at home.
- Conscious Fathering: Information for dads as they prepare to become a father.
- Grandparenting: Self-paced online course that helps expectant grandparents prepare for their new role.
- Infant/Child Safety and CPR: Safety information, CPR and choking first aid for infants and children.
- Mom and Baby Support Group: This group meets weekly in Puyallup.
- Newborn Basics: What to expect with your newborn and how to care for your baby during the first months of life.
- Private one-on-one class on select topics: A three-hour class that covers topics you select at a time that works for you.
- Strategies for Successful Breastfeeding: This virtual class offers information on the benefits of breastfeeding, how to overcome common difficulties, strategies for working parents and more.
Spokane classes
- Breastfeeding Basics: This class — offered virtually and in person — includes information on what to expect as your due date draws near, after baby arrives and the first six weeks after baby is born. Taught by international board-certified lactation consultants.
- Buckle Up! Care Seat Checks: Learn proper child safety for car seats and receive a car seat inspection.
- Coping Skills for Unmedicated Labor: Feel more prepared planning a natural birth or incorporating natural birthing techniques into your labor. This class is perfect for first-time parents who have taken our Prepared Childbirth class, or experienced parents who need a refresher on natural childbirth coping skills.
- Daddy 101: An immersive class on the transition to fatherhood that covers labor and postpartum support, diapering, bathing, swaddling, feeding, safe sleep practice, infant car seat safety and stress management. Birth partners are welcome.
- Infant/Child Safety and CPR: Covers safety information, CPR and choking first aid for infants and children. Our nurses will facilitate the American Heart Association Family & Friends Infant CPR instruction video and provide hands-on demonstration. Completion cards are not issued.
- Life with Baby: Learn what to expect when your new baby is finally here and how to ease the transition into parenthood
- Preparing for Childbirth: This course helps prepare you for the birth experience you and your birth partner are striving for.
- Spinning Babies® Birth Preparation: Get ready to embrace “comfort in pregnancy and ease in birth” by learning techniques to help prepare your pelvis and its muscles for pregnancy and labor. Recommended for anyone entering their second trimester and beyond.
Yakima classes
- Baby Basics: Learn the basics of caring for a newborn, what you can do to be organized and how to recognize baby’s cues.
- Successful Breastfeeding: Before baby arrives, give yourself a head start with helpful nursing techniques and solutions for common problems.
Birth center tours
Our offerings also include birth center tours. Tours are held regularly at a set date and time and may be conducted in-person or virtually (via online video teleconference) depending on the birth center location. A qualified tour guide will show you around, provide information about the center and answer your questions.
