Helping to create strong foundations of support for kids and families

Specialty Servies

Helping children and families become and stay well requires more than just clinical treatment. We help our clients and their families feel empowered and supported in all aspects of their lives.

Family Support Services

Family Support Services offer skills and support to help build healthy families and encourage positive parenting skills. We work together with parents, schools and the community to strengthen families with children of all ages, at no cost to families.

Family Support Services programs include:

  • Free Parenting Classes: Parenting classes are available throughout the year for parents with children at any developmental stage, from infants and toddlers to school-aged children and teens. Call 253-697-8461 for a current schedule of classes.
  • In Home Services: Promoting First Relationships and the Positive Parenting Program are both evidence-based parenting programs provided in the home by Family Support Workers, who offer encouragement to parents and help them build on the unique strengths of their family, free of charge.

Peer Support Services

Certified peer counselors offer personalized guidance and support on your child’s path to recovery. They work closely with social workers, therapists and case managers to help set goals for recovery and achieve them.

Sharing their own recovery stories, peer counselors instill hope and confidence in others living with serious mental illnesses. They can truly relate to the challenges you may be experiencing.

Peer support specialists are an integral part of our Children & Family Services team. Learn about other programs that use Peer Support Services.
