As a native of Philadelphia, Virginia Gaskins received her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Holy Family University of Pennsylvania, in 2012. Virginia completed her clinical internship at Arcadia University, where she was able to fine tune her counseling skills while working with university students and staff members, in need of therapy services.

During her time there, Virginia took an interest in working with people dealing with symptoms of body dysmorphia and created and facilitated a body image and eating disorder support group as well as provided psychoeducation on depression and anxiety. Virginia moved on to broaden her skill set by counseling a diverse population, including counseling foster and adopted children using play therapy, providing therapy and crisis intervention to at-risk youth and young adults, using a youth driven therapeutic approach and counseling patients receiving drug and alcohol treatment.

With great determination to pursue her state license, Virginia relocated to Washington State where she received her license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Chemical Dependency Professional Trainee License (CDPT) and in 2018, Virginia started her own private practice. She is also a Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS). With her innate desire to help people struggling with weight loss and weight management, Virginia has focused her experience in the field of medical and surgical weight loss.Virginia attended the BECK Institute of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy and participated in the Beck Diet Solution Workshop training for Cognitive Behavioral Approaches to Weight Loss and Maintenance.

During Victoria's time off, you can find her living out her passion of interior decorating, photography, writing and traveling.
