Shannon Rice, ARNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine. Her clinical interests are pediatrics, women’s health, preventive medicine and health promotion. Away from work, she is an avid runner who trains for half marathons, in addition to enjoying camping, backpacking, hiking and snow sports.

I enjoy family medicine because it allows me to develop long-lasting relationships with patients. My travels, particularly my work in Australia’s outback, has strengthened my appreciation for diversity. I strive to incorporate cultural differences and traditions into individual medical care, listening to patients and providing education to help them make well-informed health care decisions. I emphasize health promotion and disease prevention at every visit.
