Referring Providers

Information for referring providers

MultiCare’s house call service through DispatchHealth is designed to reduce emergency department visits, ensure patients with acute health care needs get the care they need in a timely manner when their regular doctor is not available and help keep your patients out of the hospital.

Refer a patient

Request care for a patient by calling 253-271-9720. You can call after hours, on weekends and during holidays. DispatchHealth services are available from 8am – 10pm, 7 days a week, every day of the year including holidays.

A board-certified emergency care provider and medical technician will arrive at your patient’s home within hours in a branded vehicle marked with both MultiCare and DispatchHealth’s logos, and equipped with everything an urgent care can provide and more. They will assess, diagnose and treat your patient onsite.

DispatchHealth fully documents your patients’ visits and sends clinical documentation back to you. DispatchHealth bills insurance directly for the care provided and will fax you detailed clinical notes once the patient visit is complete. Additionally, DispatchHealth follows up with every patient within three days and refers back to you for additional care as needed.

DispatchHealth is contracted with major health insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid. Learn more about their billing and insurance coverage information.

Referrals not required

While we encourage providers to refer their patients to our care when they feel it is appropriate, patients do not require a referral to request a house call.

Patients can request care anytime during our operating hours through our website or by phone at 253-271-9720.

MultiCare Providers can refer two ways: via the phone number listed above, or by submitting an Epic referral order for “DispatchHealth In-Home Medical Visit”.
