The need for behavioral health care in our nation continues to soar. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports high rates of mental health challenges in adults, youth and children, such as depression, anxiety and other severe or diagnosable conditions. Our own communities are no exception. MultiCare Behavioral Health, including Navos, served more than 43,000 behavioral health clients and patients in 2023 alone. Yet less than half of people receive the treatment and services they need, according to the National Institute of Mental Health.
Expanding access to behavioral health care means removing barriers to treatment and ensuring programs and services reach people where they are.
MultiCare Behavioral Health is uniquely positioned to affect change on a large scale within the many communities it serves, from the South Puget Sound region to the Inland Northwest. By integrating mental health treatment into primary care settings through collaborative care, establishing school-based partnerships, opening neighborhood-based clinics and covering costs that stand in the way of recovery, more of our family, friends and community can receive coordinated, holistic care that meets their needs.
Your support of MultiCare Behavioral Health Foundation at Changing Minds makes accessible mental health care possible for everyone in our community. Together we can ensure that our neighbors and loved ones remain on a path toward hope, healing and well-being.
