Frequently asked questions

Having fun on a fall morning, while supporting MultiCare’s INW Foundation, with a focus on helping our most vulnerable infants at the MultiCare Deaconess Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). What’s better than that?!

Where do I pick up my packet?

Packet pick-up is on the morning of the race starting at 7:30am at the big pick-up tent. Our start/finish line festivities will be located at the WSU Health Sciences Spokane campus at the Green 5 Parking Lot (corner of E Spokane Falls Blvd and N Sherman St). Stay after the race for a complimentary brunch, live entertainment and all-around groovin’ brunchy vibes.

Mimosa Tent

If you’ll be joining us in the adult brunch-y beverage tent (yay mimosas!), ID’s will be mandatory and checked at the entrance. $5 cash only.

Will pictures be available?

We will have a photographer taking photos, but not individual ones. We will share a link after the race. Be sure and snap a few crossing the finish line.

Can I purchase waffles for spectators or kids 4 and younger?

Yes, additional waffles can be purchased for $10 cash at the Packet Pick-up tent.

Is this a timed event?

No. This is a “fun” run and walk, and is not timed. Our route is not USATF certified. We will, however, present the top male/female who cross the finish line an award. Please meet at the stage at 9:45 am on race day.

Will gear check be available?

Yes, we will have complimentary clothing/gear check. You can find Gear Check near the start line. Please drop-off items after you have picked-up your bib number.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Carpool, bike, walk, or drive if you must. WSU Spokane Campus parking is available in several lots near the start/finish line area.

Can I bring my dog?

Leashed dogs are welcome, at the back of the pack, and must be on leashes no longer than eight feet per Centennial Trail code. Please be courteous to our runners and walkers and pick-up after your pooches.

Can I bring a stroller?

Yes. We want the whole family to come out and join in the fun.

Joining us virtually?

We’re sorry that you won’t be with us in-person this year, but so glad you’ll be joining us virtually. Please complete your “made by you” 5k race route by end of day Saturday, October 12. Because our live event is untimed, there is no need to upload your results. Skip around your house after your very own race — where you surely came in first place! And don’t forget to eat waffles when you’ve completed your 5k. Beanie hats will be mailed to the address provided during race week.

What’s the refund policy?

Registration for this event is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cannot make it on race day, we will consider your registration a donation to MultiCare Inland Northwest Foundation.

Does this event benefit a charity?

Glad you asked! In the United States, one in every eight infants is born prematurely. With 47 beds, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) treats babies born prematurely or with serious health problems. Donations to the NICU will support the elevation of level of care and expansion of access to care for the tiniest and most vulnerable members of our community. For more information on this year’s beneficiary, please visit MultiCare Inland Northwest Foundation.

Thanks a BRUNCH for joining the fun.
