Class of 2024

Sara Emerson, DO

Sara is originally from the Mojave desert in California. She attended Pacific Northwest University in Yakima, Washington, and has special interests in Gender Affirming Care and Palliative/Hospice medicine. She will be graduating from EPFM to practice hospital medicine in the Pacific Northwest. You can find her backpacking, rock climbing, knitting, reading, and writing poetry in her free time.

 

Stephen Durkee, MD

Stephen was born and raised in Seattle, completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, and attended medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He has a particular interest in inpatient family medicine, as well as refugee and immigrant health. His hobbies include fly fishing, rafting, cooking, & playing with his nephews.

 

Avneet Lehal, DO

Avneet grew up in Kent, Washington, and completed her medical training at Pacific Northwest University. She embraces the full scope of family medicine and is especially enthusiastic about preventative care, women’s health, advanced care planning, OMT, clinic procedures, and pediatrics. Her hobbies include baking delicious treats, weight lifting, reading, and spending quality time with her adorable (if a bit curmudgeonly) dog.

 

Christopher Moore, MD

Chris grew up in Tacoma, Washington, and attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle. His clinical interests include adolescent health, addiction medicine, and clinic procedures. When not at work, you’ll find him chasing his two adorable young kids around, spending time with family, or catching whatever good game is on.

 

 

Audriana Mooth, DO

Audriana grew up in western Washington and is thrilled to be back home after graduating from Western University of Health Sciences COMP-Northwest. As a former Athletic Trainer, she is passionate about sports medicine and can often be found on the sidelines of local high school football games in the fall. Her hobbies include throwing the most epic Halloween parties for her nieces and avoiding sunburns while outdoors hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, boogie boarding, whale watching, or jogging very slowly for long distances.

Erik Willis, DO

Erik is happy to be back in his hometown of Puyallup, Washington, after completing medical school at Pacific Northwest University. He is passionate about family medicine, and has interests in pain management, adolescent medicine, and infectious disease. An avid outdoorsman, Erik enjoys running, backpacking/hiking, fly fishing, and is an amateur naturalist in addition to bookworm on the days he spends inside.

 

Class of 2025

 Allen Chacko, DO

Allen was born and raised in the Seattle area, went to Pacific Lutheran University for his undergraduate studies, and then attended medical school at A.T. Still University in Missouri. He is particularly interested in palliative care and hospital medicine. His hobbies include camping, hiking, yoga, and he’s recently gotten into coffee brewing and specialty coffees – much to the appreciation of his co-residents on the inpatient service!

Christian Hoag, DO

Christian is happy to remain in the Pacific Northwest, having been raised in Tacoma, completed his undergraduate studies at Gonzaga University, and attended medical school at PNWU. He enjoys the preventative care aspects of family medicine, as well as sports medicine, OMT, and procedures. Outside of work, he is a triathlete and spends his free time cooking, playing sports, getting creative with DIY projects around home, and spending time with his wife and two rambunctious children.

Alex Howells, DO

Alex grew up in Enumclaw, Washington, and attended medical school at Pacific Northwest University COM in Yakima, Washington. She emphasizes continuity of care in her practice and appreciates that she can provide longitudinal care for her patients as a family physician. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, organizing, and hanging out with loved ones.

 

Tori Kornelsen, MB BCh BAO

Tori is from Abbotsford, BC, Canada, and began residency training at EPFM after graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. With a range of diverse interests within the realm of family medicine, she currently plans to pursue hospital medicine or obstetrical care after residency. Outside of her medical career, she enjoys many types of dance ranging from contemporary to Lindy hop, as well as going to concerts, climbing both indoors and outdoors, and eating delicious food with friends.

 

Chandni Sharma, DO

Chandni grew up in Bothell, Washington, and attended medical school at PNWU in Yakima, Washington. Within the broad scope of family medicine, she is particularly interested in OB and inpatient medicine. Her hobbies include reading, working out, and spending as much time as she can with her family and friends!

 

Nina Chan Thach Voigt, MD

Nina’s hometown is Tacoma, Washington, and she attended WSU Elson S Floyd College of Medicine in Spokane, Washington. She is passionate about providing full-scope family medicine to underserved areas and stays grounded by volunteering at local community events including the Daffodil Festival. Nina is a talented artist who enjoys a good cup of coffee, spending time with family, caring for her saltwater reef tank, exploring different food cuisine in the area, and being outdoors – whether it be camping, dirt bikes/ATVs, running, or hammocking.

Mat Dickson, DO

Mat was born and raised in western Washington and attended Pacific Northwest University for medical school. As an osteopathic physician, he is passionate about approaching patient care in a holistic manner and using OMT to help facilitate healing. In his free time, he love spending time outdoors with his wife, Keisha, and their dog, Pippy! He is also a big Seattle sports fan and spends a lot of time cheering on our local teams.

Palvinder Garcha, DO

Pravi is from Covington, Washington, and she graduated from the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences medical school. Her interests include reading books, learning new skills (from knitting to languages and more), and spending time with family!

 

Talvinder Garcha, DO

Tally is from Covington, Washington, majored in psychology at the University of Washington, and attended medical school at PNWU in Yakima, Washington. She has particular interests in women’s health and mental health. She enjoys laughing, watching mystery shows, traveling, and expressing her creativity through embroidery, designing, and more!

 

Kimberly Macumber, DO

Kimberly was born and raised in Gig Harbor, Washington. For her undergraduate studies, she attended Central Washington University, then went on to attend medical school at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Phoenix, Arizona. Her special interests include osteopathic manipulative therapy, wellness/preventative medicine, women’s health, and integrative medicine. Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and recreational fishing, as well as reading, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.

Rob Meyer, MD

Rob was raised in Seattle and attended medical school at Washington State University in Spokane. He’s thrilled to be back on the west side of the state where he’s able to more closely monitor the comings and goings of Mt. Rainier and enjoy the unparalleled beauty of the region with his wonderful wife and dog. He’s interested in caring for patients across the age spectrum but has a particular interest in behavioral health and addiction medicine. Outside of medicine you can find him frequenting local restaurants, Nordic skiing, or hunting for new music!

Gracie Rubideaux, MD

Gracie is originally from Vancouver, Washington, and attended the University of Washington for medical school. She has always had a passion for family medicine, and is especially passionate about women’s health, addiction medicine, LGBTQ care, and pediatrics. Outside of work, she spends most of her time with her wife, their dog and two cats. She also enjoys trying new recipes, doing DIY projects and being outdoors!
