Nafeeshathul Riyaj Ahamed, MD

Nafeeshathul Riyaj Ahamed, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. She provides comprehensive care including diagnosis of, and medical and surgical treatment for, obstetric and gynecologic pathologies. Dr. Riyaj cares for patients from preconception through postpartum and treats conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She also offers ovulation induction for patients who need support with conception and performs a range of gynecologic procedures, including minimally invasive and open surgeries.

Dr. Riyaj was inspired to purse a career as an OB/GYN because she believes women are the foundation of healthy families and communities. Prior to moving to Tacoma, she spent three years in rural southern Oregon where she was in private practice as a full spectrum generalist OB/GYN. Dr. Riyaj was community faculty for the Cascades East Family Medicine program and spent eighteen months as the president of the Klamath County Medical Society. Outside of work, she likes spending time with her family and friends, hiking with her dog, reading and finding new restaurants.
