Heidi Richardson, MD, FACS is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist who joined MultiCare in 2008. Her specialized fellowship was devoted to the diagnosis, treatment and study of patients with breast cancer and benign surgically treated breast diseases. That fellowship required additional training and underscores her desire and ability to treat the most challenging cases.

Dr. Richardson works with a multidisciplinary team of specialists within MultiCare including medical oncology, radiation oncology, breast imaging, genetic specialist, nutritionist, social worker, physical therapy, behavioral health and nurse navigation to provide personalized cancer treatment plans. She has a strong interest in oncoplastic surgery, creating a better aesthetic outcome for her surgical patients. She works closely with plastic surgeons in the community to offer a wide range of reconstructive options.

She belongs to the American Society of Breast surgeons and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She attends regular meetings and courses to stay up to date on the most advanced surgical treatment of breast disease.

Dr. Richardson lives in Spokane with her husband and three children and two dogs. She enjoys all the outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer including skiing, hiking and kayaking.
